The rear image is clear, even during the night. I hooked-up the camera to my Pioneer AVIC-2 system, which took no more than 30 minutes. The hardest part is putting the wires through the rear portion of my Nissan Frontier towards the front end. I previously had a cheap camera hooked-up to the stereo system, but it only lasted for a year (image started getting fuzzy). Fantastic low light capability and excellent resolution. Very well made. The compact size of the camera, power supply and connector on the wiring from the camera to the power supply make installation straight forward. The small size of the connector on the camera wiring make routing though existing harness covers very easy for a completely hidden installation. I did not use the provided bracket as it uses adhesive tape to install but it does have small holes that could be used for more secure installation with screws. The camera picture is great, even at night. Comes in very handy when hitching up trailers, and gives you a little more peace of mind that the kids are out of the way. Another nice feature is that this camera has its own power supply that connects to the vehicle's switched 12V rail. That way I can switch to the camera even while driving forward which is nice for keeping an eye on what you're towing. |
