No, Handstands doesn't promote this product in that fashion (I heard it first at GPS Passion), but believe it or not, it works (I was pretty skeptical - but after reading jbb's review, I figured why not try it?)This is a very small and thin product (so small you don't even notice it if you have a dark dash) 5.75"L x 3.75"W x 1/8" thick, and this one comes in graphite (black). And that's exactly why I like it -- it's unobtrusive. Now I don't know how it would work for a larger, heavier GPS with a heavier and longer mount, but for my Nüvi 260 (which is less than 6 oz and comes with a really tiny ball mount), it works like a charm. When you park the car, the devices and pads can easily be removed and stored away from prying eyes. You can also move the pads to another car for use there. Just be sure to clean the dashboard with alcohol to allow the pad to stick tight. Be especially careful to remove any Armor-all type products from the area of the dashboard where you use the sticky pads. Overall the Jelly Stick Pad performs as advertised. |
