We shopped around, and decided on this product, hoping that it would work in the car and be fairly easy to install, having a trip coming the very next day. Well, it works in the car great, but installing was fairly tricky. What made it tricky was the wiring - because of the rear climate controls are wired through the factory entertainment system wiring harness. We did have to get the wiring schematics for our vehicle, in order to be able to cut out the factory wiring harness so the rear climate control and rear speakers would function properly. Once the right schematics were found, it wasn't that tough, we just needed to follow carefully where to cut and what wires to connect together. Mounting it to the roof was not easy, and if the product would have been slightly larger, we couldn't have used the factory installed DVD placing. When your playing a dvd it makes noise like the disc in the dvd player is rubbing on something. if you press on the cover the noise stops. I had it for 1 day and had to put tape across the dvd player lid so it does not make noise. Also when you leave your car out in the heat the dvd player will not play anythin.
